Why We Love Cats

1. Noses that twitch
2. Supersoft pink paws

3. Their love affair with open boxes (or luggage)...

4. ...and rubber bands
5. Their vigilant surveillance of the front walk
6. Rhythmic purrs
7. Full body stretches
8. They curl up on your chest-and-even put a paw to your cheek
9. Their slow eye blinks
10. Their ability to find the only square of sunshine on the carpet - and fall asleep in it
11. "Pet me now" nudges or nibbles
12. Their haughty independence...
13. ...combined with their constant need to be near you
14. Their attention-seeking stunts
15. The way they curl their tails around their feet so tidily
16. The warmth of their bodies
17. Sandpaper kisses
18. Their cranky meows when you keep them waiting
19. They daintily step all over the newspaper you're reading (he is on my econ book)

20. Whenever you look up, they're there.

I miss my kitty, Oohbooh! He was Birddog and I's first baby.
I don't want another indoor animal tho and living where we do I wouldn't have one outside. They are too curious. . .

Yeah...what is the fascination between felines and luggage?? All of our suitcases were covered with cat fur before we left on our vacation. Bonus: Easy identification at luggage claim.

Spoken as only a true kitty-lovah could speak :).

#22 in our house would be Callie's love affair with my daughter's suede clogs; she "loved" them as if they were her own (lol).

Oh, there are times I wish I could purr!!! One of the most content sounds in the world!

I have to admit, I am not a cat lover. I am a cat tolerator but I can appreciate other's love for them. Cats are an independent lot. Dogs will fetch your shoes...Cats will tell your to fetch them yourself. Your list reveals a loving, caring person. Thanks for sharing and for posting to my GLOB.

There is nothing better than picking up your soft furry kitty and giving them a big lovey squeeze.

WT - I cannot take complete credit for the whole list. Years ago I found a list and that is what I used. But I did add the photos! Does that count?

You guys are great! I am sorry that you are not a cat lover Swampwitch, what about dogs? (Oh and by the way - Welcome to the Globbing world!)

Pamela - Mordecai has decided he doesn't like the goo. I have to find one that is a bit different so I can trick him with it. It's for his own good, really!

I have a dog lover one coming up soon!!! Stay tuned!

Good luck with tricking a cat!!!

I've lost count of the times a meatball has been eaten all around leaving the pill inside lying in the bowl.
