Adventures with Granny - What fun!

Granny and I always have so much fun! No matter what we do!

Yesterday I decided that I was going to take the two and a half hour drive to see my grandparents one last time before school starts. It starts Tuesday for me, so I am trying to squeeze in as much "fun" as I can. I arrived here at their house (I am still here) at around 9:45 am. Granny fixed me some bacon and tomatoes for breakfast. Then she received a call from my Grandad saying that she had an appointment waiting on her. (I will explain her job in a later post.) When I called and told her that I could come down I told her that I would have to bring my laundry with me so I could get it done. So she left for her appointment and I got the laundry started.

I met her at their store so we could visit some and I could see my Grandad. We were headed out to lunch and guess what she did. LOL She walked out that door with all kinds of determination. I think she was hungry, and we were headed to her favorite restaurant, mexican food. She took off. I barely caught her. She was about to get in the wrong van. Now this would be the second time, but I caught her in time. We chuckled about that for a while.

We ate. We had our nails done. I got a manicure. She got a color change and a pedicure. Then we went to our favorite place to shop. Wall's! It is a store that gets name brand stuff and sells it at a great discount. Sometimes their stuff if damaged, but most of the time you can find some good stuff. Today I got some earrings that were originally from Macy's. I will take a photo when I get home. Granny bought me a new skirt too! $13. How can you beat that?

Then we went to dinner with my Grandad. We went to a restaurant that is right off of one of the main interstates in our state. I promise you they knew everyone in there. And there were a lot of old people there. My grandparents are only in their 70s so they aren't that old. But some of the people there.were.old. It was a blast. I told them about my blogging addiction and about some of the things people blog about, including myself. Some how the fart stories came up. I had to tell them some of the stories some of you had written. Of course, Granny was staying with me telling stories of her own. This brought up stories about me that I had forgotten about. Then as we were leaving, it happened. I needed to let one go. Sorry, but I couldn't hold it in. You know it gives you Crappy thoughts if you don't let them go. So I did. It was another SBD. But not near as bad as my other SBD I have posted about. The funniest thing about it all was that we were in Granny's brand new HHR and she isn't too familiar with the windows. She was trying to find the button to roll down the window while we were all laughing. I, of course, began laughing right after it happened and it smelled!

The only other thing that happened is when my Grandad came out from taking a shower he turned on the television and put it on Grease!

So now you need to be like Ree and record it for all of us to hear!

Trust me. I'm kidding.

Julie you are so blessed to still have your granny. I still miss both of mine even though they left this life over 20 years ago. My grannies were the greatest just like yours!

Songbird took the words out of my mouth. I had one grandmother when I was born and she was in her 70's... and had lost her mind when she went through menopause. (sort of explains where I am, doesn't it)

So I'm jealous (in a nice way) of you having this grand relationship.

ps. gotta start a 2nd blog I guess just for fart stories. Two of my brothers can do marathon story time

Susan - they are silent, remember. The recording would be quite boring. HA!

Debs - I would like the theme music from the old television show The Greatest American Hero. I love that song.

Pamela - I am not posting any more fart stories. I am the burper in the family those farts just slipped out. :) HA! (Cracking myself up!)

I am super blessed to still have my Granny. We have traveled the world together and I cherish every moment I have with her. You know every moment that I am not wanting to ring her neck. HA!

Maybe the second blog could be a group effort. :)

Word Verif - ohsii
